My Latest Soaps, Listed Today

Now that the Christmas rush has been and gone i am able to get back to a more normal pace of soap making yet again..

These are the latest soaps i listed today, as you can see i have made plenty more chocolate soaps and have more curing that will be ready shortly as they are such big sellers for me.

As i am am always one for experimenting i have been trying all new food items to add to the mix, goats milk, cream, yogurt etc..., the last few batches of soap i have made have been made with coconut cream and i just love the results so from now on i will be adding this to nearly all my soaps, the lather is amazing and the softness outstanding...

In the past i have tried beer, baileys, coke, whiskey, to name a few but none of them except the baileys stood out for me, so if you want a beautiful creamy soap that smells great, try adding baileys...

Out of all the soaps here i have to admit that i just love the smell of the almond soap the most even though i am a chocoholic, i did make a choc almond dessert not long back and everyone just loved it so you can guess what the next soap i make will be.
I have a few surprises in store for some of my regular customers as i am bringing out a new range of more natural soaps for those with sensitive skins like me...

Will post more soaps when they are ready.

Happy New Year Everyone.....

my kids
Well another Christmas is over but what a lovely day we all had.
Now the kids are grown up and have partners and busy lives of their own we hardly get to spend any time together anymore so it was so lovely to all be together on Christmas day.
The weather was great and the rain stayed away so we all enjoyed a lovely bbq together, i got some fantastic gifts too, 2 pretty wooden Russian dolls(exactly what i wanted thanks Bekah and Jase), a handbag and purse and a shoulder bag too (thanks Jase),some beautiful perfume (Thanks Curtis and Sarah),chocolates from Connor (Curtis step son),wine from Mary and Vern and a hamper full of cupcake items(i have an obsession with all things cupcake, thanks Nicole and Ben) and everyone seemed to like the gifts i has picked out for them too, it was so nice just being able to relax and catch up with my sons that i hardly ever see even though we all live in the same town.
Curtis made a lovely pine nut, bacon and avocado salad for us to share and Nicole made her famous huge Christmas trifle and Mary made delicious kebabs, so we got to enjoy a  variety of yummy foods, we also had ham on the bone, steak, sausages, chicken patties hamburger patties,( i had tuna steaks),plenty of summer salads and for dessert Christmas pudding, chocolate chippie log, pavlova, trifle, 2 chocolate trifles and a layered cheesecake with fresh summer fruits, and rocky road, so we will be eating desserts for days...
Of course we had our usual Christmas disagreements but it seems Christmas day wouldn't be complete without one but it was soon over and forgotten.
Funny all that hype and hard work plus alot of money spend for just a single day and then its over in a flash till next year, cant wait....
I hope your Christmas was as wonderful as ours, have a Happy New Year Everyone...

Yummy Dessert Soaps...

Retro Cupcakes

Pink Camo Soap

The orders are pouring in and it's been non stop... i have made loads of soap as i have a huge Christmas market this Saturday and another on Sunday, plus i have heapss of lovely soaps curing, i have been making alot of my soaps out of coconut cream just lately, the texture and smell are divine, they have the most amazing creamy lather and the bars last and last, i just know that my customers will love them as much as i do.
I have also been selling a lot of my soaps through the website trade- me it's just like ebay, as soon as i am listing my soaps they are selling, it's great but so hard to keep track on who's paying, alot of traders ask me to wait till a few days later when other auctions close till they pay, sometimes payments drag on for weeks this way which confuses my paperwork, it seems lately that all i seem to do is paperwork and soap wrapping, making me feel like I'm trapped in my own home held hostage by demanding buyers, funny it sometimes takes them weeks to pay me, yet they expect me to post their parcels the same day that i receive their payments(which i usually do) then send me demanding emails a day later asking where their items are, it really annoys me as i have no control over nz post services, it usually takes 3 days to get items delivered, some people are impossible to please....
Well back to the soap packing and wrapping...

My favourite soap ever ...

I've made so many soaps but i think that out of all my soaps these are my most favourite yet, they smell amazing the first is my coconut creamberry pie... A delicious creamy coconut and caramelised buttery sweet toffee base, topped with a delicious filling of rich coconut cream and berries and then a layer of sweet juicy rich ripe crushed berry sauce finished with whipped cream, sprinkles and a cherry, or delicate baby pink roses.
My marshmallow slice...A Creamy coconut and caramelised buttery gooey toffee base, topped with a delicious filling of rich coconut cream and ripe juicy berries then a layer of sugary sweet rich mixed berry sauce and smothered with whipped cream, sprinkles and a cherry.

I also had a big clean up of my felt goods, after many years i have decided not to continue making them they take ages to sew and for such little return it's just not worth the hassle of it all, plus i dont have the time anymore, so i put together many different bulk packs of them and listed them on trade me, i have loads of watchers so far so it will be interesting to see how they do, well back to the soap making....

These are a few of my latest Christmas soaps, and a few of my latest bar soaps, why is it every bar soap i make lately ends up being a disaster....
The Christmas soaps all turned out like a dream, the white chocolate and raspberry was a flop, it smelled amazing but looked really crappy.
The blue soap has amazing swirls in it, they remind me of the way planet earth looks from space, not the look i had hoped for but still very pretty.
At least my pack of soaps turned out, white chocolate, raspberry, caramel, dark chocolate, and honey, delicious...
I am also not happy with the way my layered soap turned out, it's coffee and dark chocolate layered with raspberry and then vanilla, smells divine just a little streaky in the pink....
